With great pleasure I'm inviting you to the opening of Lustwarande '23 - Eartheaters on 27 August at 3pm in Park De Oude Warande Tilburg. I've created a large new outdoor piece for this amazing group show and I'm looking forward to finally showing it to the public.

I'm happy to let you know that I've received a travel grant from the The John & Marine van Vlissingen Art Foundation. It was a complete surprise but they wanted to support 'the extraordinary characterof my practice'. This means that I will travel to Japan for inspiration!

In recent months, I have focused on a fresh project called "Strong signals through thin hair." Instead of using drawing as a preparation for a sculpture, I've created independent drawings that don't stem directly from my sculptures.I've been zooming out and actually depict people for the first time. The drawings take up a special point of view, revealing new mutual relationships. They show the vulnerable sides of people, resulting in unexpected perspectives on society.

These new drawings will end up in a publicationthat will be completed with a text by Diana Marincu, curator, art critic and artistic director of Art Encounters.

This project will be launched at Platform Post in Arnhem from 21st until 23rd of April. On the 21st of April at 20:00 there will be an artist talk with Fenne Saedt (in Dutch)
